Café Crêpe

I was walking around exploring my new neighborhood, the beautiful Santa Monica, and there it was two blocks from my apartment building, Café Crêpe.. I saw the nutella jars staked all over the front windows, aaaaah and that yummy smell!! So I couldn’t wait to get in.

I ordered the chocolate crepe with bananas and strawberries, and trust me, it didn’t disappoint!! Living most of my life in Europe I have had crepes in Italy, Romania and Germany; in my opinion this place ranks on top. I also highly recommend the Pecan Salad that comes with Chicken or Shrimp, It tastes so fresh. Prices are pretty reasonable too.

The restaurant it self Is on the south west corner of the famous Third street promenade and Broadway. A fabulous patio for sitting in beautiful Santa Monica weather and people watching on the Promenade, or you can dine inside. The menu has a seemingly endless variety of crepes (sweet and non-sweet) and compatible goodies. There are entrees, sides, breakfast and dessert. Its pretty casual during the week, the kind of place you can go with friends or take your mom to. But I went there on a Saturday night to grab a bite before hitting the club and to my surprise, they had a DJ and candle lighting, it had a loungy atmosphere to it.
